I didn't add any new robots to the testing last week, but I'm investigating a few that definitely show promise. The robots I'm testing at the moment are doing really well and for the first time ever there are multiple robots in this portfolio making consistent profit. See below for more details on the ones that are standing out at the moment.
1. General Comments
Forex Overdrive: Although it made a profit of 13% in its first week I'm a little worried about the risk reward ratio of this robot. It seems to use a stoploss of more than 300 pips to make a profit of 10 to 15 pips, which is not a good ratio at all. The fixed stoploss in the trades could be fake to fool the broker, but I'll see what I can find out from the developer about the strategy.
Forex Crescendo: Since I restarted this test with the correct settings Forex Crescendo has been performing well. This product is still widely voted for as the EA of the year and I know of a number of people that are now trading live with it. I'll run this test for another month and if all goes well I'll consider moving it to a live account. Unfortunately Andrea Salvatore has been inundated with support work and new developments recently and he hasn't been able to arrange the private webinar that I promised yet, but I hope to arrange this asap.
Fish Forex Robot: Since the big loss it took just over a month ago this robot has had one profitable week after the other and the account is now almost back to breakeven again. The "adjustment order" is the thing that makes this robot so successful, but it is unfortunately also the thing that can result in the big loss that caused the problem in the first place. If they can find a way to limit this risk it will make the Fish Robot a very good product.
